St. Elizabeth Community Hospital's Events

This past year the helpful volunteers with the St. Elizabeth Community Hospital Auxiliary put on two large fundraisers – in the fall and spring - to raise money for the hospital.

Autumn Fest, held in October of 2007, was a beer-and-wine-tasting extravaganza held at the Red Bluff Community Center that attracted about 150 people. "Proceeds from the 2007 event, which included live entertainment and a silent auction, went toward a new hospital ambulance and portable fetal monitor," said Annemarie March, manager of volunteer services at St. Elizabeth. "A great deal of work goes into the planning and production of the fundraisers. A luncheon in the spring also raises funds for the hospital. The volunteers who work behind the scenes to stage the events have their own reasons for wanting to donate their time in this way. It boils down to wanting to give back to the community. In one way or another, the hospital has touched their lives.”

A new event planned for January 17, 2009, the Crab Feed will benefit St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. Bring your friends and a hearty appetite to this fun community event, to be held in the Home Arts Building at the Tehama County Fairgrounds. The event features all you can eat chowder, salad, bread and crab, and no host beer and wine will be served.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the $40.00 ticket includes automatic entry for door prizes.  Fifty-fifty tickets (50% going into a cash pot and the other 50% going for the fundraiser) will also be available for purchase.  For ticket information call: Gee Gibson at 530.529.0277, Judy Shatswell at 530.527.2948 or Ike Drake at 530.527.1516.
