Grant Will Provide Clothing

Mercy Medical Center Redding Patients to Benefit

The Shasta Regional Community Foundation through the Redding Rancheria Community Fund has announced Mercy Foundation North (MFN) as the recipient of a $25,000 grant to provide clothing for patients in need who are being discharged from Mercy Medical Center Redding (MMCR). The grant will provide support to individuals and children who arrive at MMCR for care without dry, clean, sanitary clothing. In addition, MMCR social workers may provide clothing on a limited basis to patients in need.

The Foundation is guided by the Sisters' mission to care for those in need of physical, spiritual, social, and emotional healing. The Foundation has the responsibility of developing, managing, and distributing resources that will suport the continuation of the works of the Sisters of Mercy in the areas of health care, education, and social services.
