Firefighters Donate to Mercy Medical Center Pediatric Unit
| Representatives from the Redding Firefighters Association and Logan’s Roadhouse presented a check for $3,500 to Mercy Foundation North at Mercy Medical Center Redding (MMCR) recently. The Redding firefighters hosted the “Tip-A-Firefighter Night” fundraiser for the MMCR Pediatric Department at Logan’s Roadhouse on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Proceeds from that event will be used for the installation of new flat panel televisions with built in DVD players in the patient rooms. Firefighters volunteered their time as celebrity waiters and bartenders and encouraged guests to contribute a special “tip”. With the help of Logan’s Roadhouse, the event raised the goal of $3,500. During the fundraiser, guests learned about the MMCR Pediatric Department and were served and entertained by Redding Firefighters. |
