Luckily for Mercy Foundation North, Jenny Goodman is the type of woman who likes to keep busy. One day per week, Jenny brightens up the Mercy Foundation North Redding office with her smile and cheerful attitude while stuffing envelopes, making copies, processing bank deposits, or “other duties as assigned.” Jenny began volunteering at Mercy Medical Center Redding in the early 1990’s and responded to a call for volunteers at the Foundation a few years later. After raising her four sons and retiring from the phone company, Jenny says she is happy to be able to give back to her community. “I get such a good feeling from doing it because everyone appreciates you.” Volunteer assistance is so important to the work of the Foundation. “We are blessed to have volunteers like Jenny. The support she provides in our office is invaluable and her giving spirit is an inspiration for us all” said Jeanine Bourgeois-Hedman, President of Mercy Foundation North.
