Mercy Employees Give to MMCR Emergency Department Expansion
|
| I give because… “I realize I am very fortunate to have a good job in an organization that is here to help other people. Sometimes it is easy to take what we have for granted. I asked myself, why shouldn’t I support the institution that gives me my livelihood? It made me think back to why I got into healthcare in the first place, to help make a difference, and to help others. Yes, we all have our differences and our priorities, but it made me stop and think and to be grateful for what we have and be a part in making it better.” Steve Buhler, Director Imaging & Orthopedic Services |
“I care about my family, friends, and our growing community and the success of Mercy and CHW.” Alyssa Call, HR Director “It is vital to show our support for the excellent work that the Sister’s of Mercy started many years ago in establishing a place where the sick and injured in our community could be cared for. The Emergency Department expansion project is an excellent example in keeping with this tradition and “We” as Mercy employees need to help others see that we support this mission through our financial gifts.” Rob Barth, Director Emergency Services |
“The Emergency Department is here for my family when they need it!” Susan Harrington, Director Maternal Child Services |
“I believe in the mission and values of my hospital.” Charlotte Haisch, Manager Home Health |
| “I gave because I deeply believe in our mission to continue the healing ministry of Jesus, and in this hospital. I gave because I believe this hospital is an integral part of the community and I have seen both the start of life and the end of life within its walls. I gave because I am so grateful to be part of this team, to honor the tradition begun by Catherine McCauley and because I believe the community needs the services of our expanded Emergency Department to care for our neighbors. I gave because I have seen lives saved in that Trauma Room, and because I have had broken bones and sick children myself who needed that service. I gave because I have always wanted to work here, and know that this hospital has given me so much to be grateful for. I gave so that we could give back even more to our community. Thank you.” Karen Jones, Manager, Education Department |
To date, more than $113,000 has been raised for the Emergency Department’s Remodel. More than 90% of Directors have made a gift; their gifts alone total more than $69,000!
