Why Giving Matters

Generous donor support provides the opportunity for Mercy Foundation North to make an important difference in the lives of so many people in the north state community. Donor support has provided state-of-the-art technology, advancements in facilities, created community health education opportunities, and provided free health care to those in need, among many other differences.  People like Jack and Marion (pictured above).

Several years ago, Jack Nebergall of Cottonwood spent several months in the Intensive Care Unit at Mercy Medical Center Redding.  "They saved his life," his wife Marion recalls. "I was so scared and the staff really just took us under their wing. We will never forget them.

Over the holidays, these lovely people deliver bagels and coffee to the ICU medical shifts, many of whom are now part of the Nebergall family.  Not only is Marion a member of Mercy's Ethics Committee and a member of the Catherine McAuley Circle, they are both committed to financially supporting the ICU. Jack and Marion - THANK YOU!
