Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta Needs Your Help...

Hospice
Hospice is a set of services that we may all need one day – if not for ourselves, for someone we love. Mercy Hospice Mt. Shasta is not a place but a concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatments. Our Hospice program is not about dying, it is about living with respect and dignity, and without pain. It is about living life to its fullest, including the final moment.

Where the Need is Greatest
Each day, Mercy Mt. Shasta touches the lives of people of all ages. Extending compassionate care to everyone in need is the driving objective of Mercy Mt. Shasta and we could not provide such excellent service without the thousands of donors who continue to support our healthcare ministry. Just within the last fiscal year the hospital provided close to $1.5 million in "charity care" that was not reimbursed from other sources. You can make a real difference – you cannot only impact lives today, but your support can have a lasting impact into the future.

Heart Check Program
By detecting signs of heart disease in its early stages, the likelihood of living a stronger, longer life is possible. This quick, easy and important program includes: the completion of a short heart health questionnaire, a quick, painless CT Scan to measure calcium deposits in your coronary arteries, discussion of the results with our cardiac program nurse and heart healthy educational information. A gift of $2,500 to this program would allow 15 patients to receive this service.
